Bringing happiness into the classroom: See the Good! partners with P.S. 006 Lillie D. Blake
New York, NY – February 5, 2026
See the Good!, a scientifically proven program for teaching happiness and well-being, has partnered with P.S. 006 Lillie D. Blake in New York City to foster more positive, supportive classrooms through a whole school approach to strengths-based education.
The partnership began with the first teacher training session, which introduced educators to positive interaction, social-emotional learning, and the practice of recognizing the good in every student and teacher. The session focused on the foundations of positive pedagogy and on helping teachers identify and document the individual strengths of each child and young person.
After the training, teachers were introduced to See the Good!’s digital platform, which provides instructional materials and tools for goal-setting, reflection, and progress tracking. The platform supports the school’s efforts to strengthen student well-being, encourage positive interaction, and take a more consistent approach to character development across classrooms.
See the Good! supports both students and teachers by helping educators identify and build on their core strengths. Designed to be practical and easy to use, the program strengthens classroom culture and SEL without adding extra workload or contributing to teacher burnout.
“This partnership is a meaningful step forward in bringing strengths-based education to public schools in New York City,” said Dr. Kaisa Vuorinen, CEO and Founder of See the Good!. “By equipping teachers with practical tools, a scientifically grounded framework, and insights into their own strengths, we’re helping create classrooms where every student can thrive - and teachers can thrive too, without extra paperwork or overwork.”
“See the Good! is a wonderful social-emotional learning program. We use it with students to help them see the good in themselves, in their friends, and in their families. It gives them meaningful language to recognize kindness in others and express it in their everyday lives.” said Samantha Shekian, Teacher of P.S. 006 Lillie D. Blake.
See the Good! is designed to support both students and teachers by helping educators recognize and build on strengths in themselves and their students. The program strengthens classroom culture, supports social-emotional learning, and encourages kindness, resilience, and connection without adding extra burden to teachers’ daily work.
